TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking any tours or food experiences with Bitesized Iceland, you accept the listed Terms and Conditions. Please read it carefully.
1. Tour provider
All food tours and culinary experiences are provided by Bitesized Iceland, Reykjavik, Iceland, 290777-5189.
2. Booking Terms and Sales Regulations
Tours must be booked and paid for in full, in advance of the event. If you are having any trouble booking online, please contact us and we can easily help you.
You can make a booking by using the online ticketing system on our website. For booking at the last minute, please call us at +354 852-2889. The sales contract is concluded after submitting the booking and making payment. You will be informed via email that your booking is confirmed.
3. Changes in the itinerary
The meeting point and the starting time will be sent to you in the booking confirmation email. Please make sure that you insert correct contact details (email, phone number – the ones you are currently using while in Iceland) while booking. We have to be able to reach you and inform you about any changes, if needed. Each tour and food experience is unique. Therefore, specific tour details are subject to change without notice.
4. Number of participants
A minimum of 3 participants is required to run a tour or a food experience. Bitesized Iceland reserves the right to cancel due to low attendance. We will offer alternative options and/or refund the tour price.
5. Weather Considerations
Tours run rain or shine (or snow, or wind, etc.). Please come dressed for the weather conditions.
Under exceptional weather conditions, tours may be canceled.
6. Age of participants
We have no minimum age for participants on our public tours, however we do ask that you consider whether this experience is appropriate for all members of your group.
We are family friendly. If you want to join tours or partake in other food experiences with younger children, and feel they would benefit from a private tour, please contact us. Private tour prices start at the same level as our public tour prices with 4 participants.
We adhere to Icelandic law that you must be 20 years old to sample alcoholic beverages.
7. Dietary restrictions & food allergies
Please inform us about your allergies and dietary restrictions while booking. We can then let you know if the tour can accommodate your restrictions. Please note that traditional Icelandic food is neither kosher nor halal.
We will do our best to customize our tours according to your needs and preferences.
8. Late arrivals and No-show policy
There is a schedule that must be followed to ensure that all guests have a great experience. For that reason, the guide will wait up to 5 minutes after the start time of the tour/culinary experience for you to arrive. Note: If you have booked a private tour, the guide will wait up to 15 minutes.
It is your responsibility to contact the guide if there is a problem arriving on time. In such cases, please call +354 852-2889 or email sabrina@bitesizediceland.com. Please note that the guide is not obligated to call you in case you are not at the meeting point on time. Tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be rescheduled within 24 hours of the start time of a tour.
We reserve the right to cancel tours or other culinary experiences due to a guide emergency or illness, or another emergency. In this case, we will refund you fully or will gladly reschedule your tour based on your preferences.
9. Safety
During our food tours or other culinary experiences, you are fully responsible for you and your children’s safety.
The guide has the right to refuse the attendance of participants or ask them to leave if the participants are aggressive, drunk or behave in any way that disrupts the tour or culinary experience for other participants.
10. Cancellation policy
Public Tours:
Cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice for a full refund. Please note that 3rd party credit card fees will be deducted from the total amount.
There is no refund if you cancel within 24 hours of scheduled starting time.
You may reschedule your tour, based on availability within 24 hours of the scheduled starting time.
Private Tours, Other Culinary Experiences & Team Building Events:
If you cancel the tour or event with 2 weeks (14 days) advance notice, there is no cancellation fee (transaction fees are not refundable). Please note that 3rd parties credit card fees will be deducted from the total amount.
If you cancel between 7 and 14 days in advance of the event, you will receive a 50 percent cancellation fee (transaction fees are not refundable). If you cancel within 7 days of the scheduled date, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
Please note 1 day means 24 hours before the starting time of the tour.
11. Liability and Complaint
We strive to providing the tour/class according to the description on the website. If after the service you are dissatisfied, please send us your complaint in writing to sabrina@bitesizediceland.com within 30 days after the tour/class. We will then follow up on your complaint and respond accordingly within 30 days.
12. Governing Laws
These Terms are governed by Icelandic law. Legal proceedings arising under these Terms will be dealt with in the Icelandic courts.
