Changing Tour Dates of Canceling Tickets

1. Can I change the dates of my tour?

Absolutely! You can change the dates of your tour by contacting us at least 4 hours before the start of the food tour. Call us at +354 852-2889 or email

2. What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is flexible. Full refunds are provided for cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable, but you can move the date or switch to another tour.

Dietary Accommodations

3. I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I still join the tour?

It is necessary to inform us of your specific food allergies or dietary restrictions when booking the tour. Alternatively, you can email We must received notification at least 24 hours in advance of your food tour or during your online booking (if within 24 hours). We can accommodate some special diets and dietary restrictions. If we cannot meet your needs, a full refund will be offered.

Cost and Inclusions

4. What is included in the cost of the tour?

Tours last 3 hours, including Icelandic food specialties, drinks (including beer tasting), something sweet, and lots of stories including historical and cultural anecdotes. There are no additional costs.

Walking Distance

5. How far do we walk on the food tours?

Walks are a short distance and at a leisurly pace.  Expect, at most, up to 1 km, depending on the tour. 

Group Information

6. How many people can participate on your tours?

Public tours allow up to 12 participants. Private tours are available for small and large groups. Get in touch to find out more.

Children and Age Restrictions 

7. Are there age restrictions on your tours?

Children of any age are welcome. We trust parents to determine whether this tour is approriate for their children. 

8. Do you offer discounted tickets for children?

Yes, children (up to 12 years old) who participate in the tour, join at a greatly reduced rate. Children who do not eat on the tour are free and should be booked at our free infant rate. 

9. What if my child will not be eating on the tour?

For small children who will not be eating on the tour, you are welcome to book a free infant ticket for them. This lets us know that a child will be joining but will not be eating, so we can plan accordingly.

10. Do you offer private tours?

Yes, we offer private tours for groups. Contact us to learn more.

11. What should I do if I am running late?

If you’re running late, our guide waits up to 5 minutes. Call +354 852-2889 if further delayed and we can make a plan to have you join us at a later point on the tour. No-shows cannot get a refund.

12. What if the weather is bad? Will the tour still run?

Tours run in all weather. Dress accordingly. In extreme weather situations, a food tour may be canceled. This would happen if businesses were prohibited from opening due to weather. In such cases, we will contact you to rebook or offer a full refund.

13. How do I get to the meeting place for the food tour?

This information is included in your confirmation email. If you have not received your confirmation email, please get in touch.
